It seems as though the Beatles will put some extra effort into the 50th anniversary reissue of 1967's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Previous reports stated that "Strawberry Fields Forever" and Penny Lane" would be added to the release. The "Double A-side" single was recorded during the Pepper sessions but pulled as a stand-alone 45 r.p.m. prior the album's release.

The usually reliable Beatlefan magazine sent out an email to subscribers detailing what info they've culled regarding a new release, posting: "None of this is confirmed, but sources tell a couple of Beatlefan's contributing editors that the upcoming 50th anniversary edition of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will include a new stereo mix of the album, a new surround-sound mix, and outtakes from the album sessions."
