Traveling from Tokyo to Sydney (9 hours), Martin Pavelka had booked his flight and asked for a gluten free meal. He suffers from celiac disease and cannot eat certain grains.
When the meal came he must have thought the airline was playing a prank: all around him passengers were eating a full breakfast of eggs, sausage, mushrooms bread and yogurt.
The flight attendant arrived with a box indicating it was his gluten free meal.
A banana.
A single banana. Marked with the "GF" logo indicating free of gluten. But that wasn't the only thing in the box.
It also had a napkin, salt, pepper, a knife and fork.
Knowing no one would believe this, he posted this picture on his Facebook page. (The airline apologized and said they'll make it good--maybe they'll get him some peanut butter to go with his banana!)
