THE VOICE IS DOWN TO THEIR TOP 8

Eight are left on season 12 of The Voice, after two artists were sent home in a double elimination last night.

Last night’s bottom three came down to Adam Levine’s artists Lilli Passero and, for the third time in a row, Mark Isaiah, along with Alicia Keys’ singer, Vanessa Ferguson.

Lilli kicked off the Instant Save performances with a rendition of “Stormy Weather” by Etta James. Mark stuck to his classic pop roots with a rendition of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” next, and Vanessa closed things out by belting “For Once In My Life” by Stevie Wonder.

It was a close Twitter vote, but in the end, America saved Vanessa, sending the other two contestants home and rounding out season 12’s Top 8.

The other seven singers moving on are: Lauren Duski, TSoul and Aliyah Moulden from Blake’s team, Jesse Larson from Adam’s team, Brennley Brown and Hunter Plake from Gwen’s team and Chris Blue joining Vanessa from Alicia’s team.

The episode also featured performances from Maren Morris, who sang her new hit, “I Could Use A Love Song,” and Charlie Puth, who belted out his latest single, “Attention.”

Next week, the eight semifinalists will perform live again. They’ll each do a solo performance, then pair up with another contestant for a duet. Only four will make it to the finals.

Isaiah was a wild card a few weeks ago and ever since he's been in the bottom two every week so it's no great loss.

But Vanessa Ferguson is a powerhouse and deserves to be in the finals, perhaps with Chris Blue and Lauren Duski.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
