Why this selfless mother went to grad school every day with her son. Tissue please.

Judy O’Connor did so much to help her son graduate that she was rewarded with an honorary degree of her own. Judy’s son is 29-year-old Marty O’Connor, who sustained spinal cord injuries a few years ago — leaving him unable to use his limbs. Other than physical therapy five days a week, Marty seemed without direction. Then the college grad decided to go for his MBA at Chapman University in California. So his mom Judy, who was working in Florida as a teacher at the time, made the selfless decision to move across the country and do everything she could to help her son achieve his goal. And just the other day Marty received is MBA and mom Judy — who assisted her son to class each day — picked up an honorary degree.
