Actor Shia LeBeouf, who is in Savannah filming "The Peanut Butter Falcon," was arrested over the weekend.

According to Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police, LaBeouf, 31, approached a bystander and an SCMPD officer near the intersection of Barnard Street and West St. Julian Street. LaBeouf reportedly asked for a cigarette, and when he wasn't given one, officers say he became disorderly, using profanities and vulgar language in front of the officer and nearby witnesses.

According to a release from SCMPD, LaBeouf was told to leave the area. LaBeouf ignored the officer and refused, becoming aggressive toward the officer.

SCMPD says the officer attempted to place LaBeouf under arrest, but LaBeouf ran to a nearby hotel. LaBeouf was arrested in the hotel lobby, where his disorderly behavior continued.

LaBeouf was charged with obstruction, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.

His bail was set at $3,500.
