As expected, most of the surviving original members of Foreigner performed alongside the current lineup on Thursday night (July 20th) at Wantagh, New York's Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre. Ultimate Classic Rock reported that in celebration of the band's 40th anniversary, co-founder Mick Jones, who heads up the current lineup of Foreigner, welcomed back legendary frontman Lou Gramm, keyboardist Al Greenwood and multi-instrumentalist Ian McDonald for their first joint performance since 1980. The originals joined in during a three song mini-set consisting of "Long, Long Way From Home," "I Want To Know What Love Is," and "Hot Blooded." Missing from the reunion was original drummer Dennis Elliott, who sat out the performance and late bassist Ed Gagliardi. Foreigner is currently on tour with Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience.
