It all makes sense now. It’s no secret that Larry David and Bernie Sanders bear an uncanny resemblance.
When David played Sanders on Saturday Night Live, it truly was difficult to distinguish them.
- It seems that there may be more to it than David’s knack for impressions, though.Their similarities may be rooted in their genetic code.
- As it turns out, the Seinfeld co-creator and Vermont Senator are distant relatives. David, 70, told reporters while promoting the ninth season of his hit HBO comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm that Sanders, 75, is a “third cousin or something.”
- “I was very happy about that,” David said. “I thought there must been some connection.”
- David discovered they were related while filming an episode of Finding Your Roots on PBS, which traces the bloodlines of stars.
