Turning your McDonald's food tray into a boombox

Recycling your fast food containers is a good thing. Recycling your fast food containers into something that improves your quality of life is even better. McDonald’s in Canada got together with a design and fabrication lab in Toronto and some audio experts at the University of Waterloo in Ontario to create a cardboard drink tray that converts into a boombox. The limited edition drink tray is turned upside down and a couple of flaps are popped out to create what looks mini megaphones. You pop your smartphone into the middle, fire up your favorite playlist and — boom — you’ve got some pretty good sound coming from a drink tray you were probably going to throw away
