A sculpture has been unveiled at Disney World in honor of two-year-old Lane Graves, who was killed by an alligator while on vacation with his family in June 2016. Graves had walked to the edge of Disney World's Seven Seas Lagoon while building a sand castle when an alligator surfaced and pulled him into the water, drowning the little boy. A lighthouse sculpture has been placed near the site of the attack outside the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to honor Lane and the organization started by his parents in his name. The Lane Thomas Foundation helps other families in crisis by providing financial support for children in need of organ transplants. The sculpture represents the Foundation's logo, which is a gold lighthouse with two blue stars.
