His Halloween home looks so real people call police to report a murder

There are some folks that do it up big for Halloween — and then there is a Texas artist who is on a whole other level. Steve Novak is on a first name basis with the Dallas Police Department after squads have been sent to his house on multiple occasions because front yard looks like a scene out of a Rob Zombie movie. Novak has no lights or fog machines — instead he’s got a few dummies and 20 gallons of fake blood in his front yard. The dummies met their demise in a variety of ways: a machete through the skull, ahead smashed by a safe, a body in a trash bag, limbs in a wheelbarrow. Cops have been called a few times but Novak says his original plans were “were way worse on paper.”
