Bruce Willis goes maskless to a drug store: "It was an error in judgment"

The story went viral when Detective John McClain a.k.a. Bruce Willis went to a California Rite Aid drug store Monday without a mask.

He had a bandana around his neck which he easily could have pulled up. But when the store management told him he had to wear a mask, he turned around and left without making a purchase. Twitter went into overdrive with people commenting and criticizing the actor:

"Bruce Willis' next movie will be Die Hard With A Ventilator.

Now Willis tells People magazine:  "It was an error in judgment."

On Tuesday, the Die Hard star began trending on Twitter as the photo circulated with social media users criticizing the actor for forgoing a face mask.

California has over 2 million COVID-19 cases with over 930,000 of those in Los Angeles County, according to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.

Willis added, "Be safe out there everyone and let's continue to mask up."
