Girl Scouts Sell Cookies From Street Trucks In New York City

Girl Scouts of the USA (GCUSA) announced a partnership with Grubhub to expand their sales channels—which previously consisted of door-to-door sales, online ordering, cookie stands at supermarkets and getting parents to sell them to co-workers—with the addition of contact-free cookie delivery. The organization says Girl Scouts themselves will be working behind the scenes to fulfill the Grubhub orders, and Grubhub is also waiving its usual vendor fees for the scouts. GCUSA is also launching a website for online cookie ordering nationwide so people “who don’t know a Girl Scout,” or don’t live near a troop, can get cookies shipped to their door. The website should be available beginning February 1st.
