For any families in need, there will be a free drive-thru food distribution taking place in Savannah on Sat., March 6th, 2021 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. (or until food runs out) at Memorial Stadium in Savannah hosted by McCraney Property Company in partnership with America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia
As we still face Covid-19 concerns, vaccine shortages, and many families are out of jobs without income to provide fresh, nutritious food to their families, two prominent organizations tied to Georgia are committed to provide a week's worth of fresh food to feed over 1,000 families in need.
Members of the Georgia National Guard will be supporting during this event by directing and volunteering to distribute food packages during this event.
COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place; all volunteers and attendees will be wearing masks. Attendees will stay in their cars and drive-thru as volunteers distribute food packages
The event is taking place at Savannah’s very own Memorial Stadium, 101 John J. Scott Dr., Savannah, GA 31406. Vehicles should enter via Skidaway Road Southbound, right onto Eisenberg Drive.
