Mysterious white foam on Kentucky creek identified--you won't believe this!

Rub a dub dub. Environmental officials in Kentucky said a mysterious white foam that covered the surface of a creek was identified as harmless dog shampoo. A couple in Lawrenceburg said they looked outside on Tuesday night (April 5th) and noticed a stream of white foam in Cedar Brook Creek. They say within 15 minutes the few inches of foam grew to a foot of foam atop the creek. A spokesman for the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet said investigators determined Glo-Marr Pet Products Inc. had a release of dog shampoo that day that entered a storm drain and ended up in the creek. They also added there was no threat to wildlife. Meanwhile, Glo-Marr Pet Products says the spill is the first of its kind in the more than 20-year history of the business, and that the dog shampoo is coconut-based.
