This couple is lucky this didn’t result in a crash. A red-bellied snake slithered across a couple’s feet as they were driving on the Bruce Highway in Australia. They pulled over and called reptile specialists Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, who arrived on the scene on the side of the road. A rep for the company posted on Facebook that they found the 3.5-foot long red-bellied black snake that they wrangled safely into a net. The snake was released back into the wild.
Yes you read that correctly, this is hands down one of the craziest jobs we have had this season!
We were called to a bit of an emergency on the side of the Bruce Highway where a couple were driving along and had a 3.5 foot long Red Belly slide over their feet. It was lucky they didn't crash!
It was a tough one to catch as well as I didn't want to have my back facing the highway and had grab the snake and lift it over the front seats without getting bitten! There were a couple of close calls but hey got the job done!
