Ben Holstine went to the Estabrook Dog Park in Shorewood, Wisconsin, with his dogs, and ended up losing his wedding ring there, but it was found thanks to another pooch. Gretchen Fairweather was at the park when her dog began barking at something shiny in a wood chip area, which turned out to be Holstine’s ring. Fairweather told local station WITI, "One of my dogs likes to chase balls. She comes, and she drops the ball and I look down, and there was a silver ring in the wood chips." Fairweather posted her find on the NextDoor app while Holstine posted about his loss on Facebook. Both posts came to the attention to someone who spotted the connection, leading to the ring's return
