Sheriff rescued when kayak flips--because he wasn't wearing a lifejacket!

This is embarrassing! In Cumberland County, Maine, a kayaker whose craft capsized in a lake wasn’t wearing a life jacket. The sheriff of the county said that was a bad decision. But fortunately another kayaker was close enough to hear when Kevin Joyce was dumped into the water and began yelling for help. The kayaker rowed to the rescue and urged urged Joyce to focus on breathing while he brought him to shore. The kayaker who went into the water was none other than the county sheriff.
