Megan Warfield was heading home in Baltimore with her mother driving when they were in an accident. They were OK, but Warfield “realized that the car in front of us had flipped and that there was someone trapped inside.” As a full-time firefighter, Warfield jumped into action, tending to the injured driver until on-duty first responders arrived. Responding firefighters wondered why Warfield was on site since she’s technically on light duty because she’s pregnant. When the firefighters arrived, Warfield was “laying in glass and oil trying to care for someone just weeks out of her due date.”
