CNN is cutting back on its boozy New Year’s Eve celebration. During a town-hall discussion held Tuesday (November 15th) between CNN staffers and the company’s chairman and CEO, Chris Licht, he announced that on-camera drinking eroded the credibility of the news network’s personnel and damaged their “respectability.
If you've seen it Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen anchor the evening from Times Square. Cohen seems insistent on getting Anderson drunk but never does; however last year, Andy seemed to have a little too much to drink. Viewers seem to relish it, but the head of CNN thinks it goes way too far in damaging their credibility. Here are some of the highlights from the last show:
