Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac has died at age 79

When Christine McVie left the band a few years ago it wasn't a band anymore. One of its most familiar voices (and writers) was gone and vowed not to return. She did not want to tour and resigned herself to her castle in England.

Apparently she had a change of heart and returned to the band and made it whole again. Now she's gone, this time for good.

McVie died at age 79 after a reported short illness which most of us never heard about. The band member who wrote and sang "Little Lies," "Say You Love Me," "Don't Stop," and her big solo hit "Got A Hold On Me."

Her family released a statement, saying: “On behalf of Christine McVie’s family, it is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine’s death. She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30th 2022, following a short illness. She was in the company of her family. We kindly ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this extremely painful time, and we would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally. RIP Christine McVie.”
