32 tourists on a boat tour in the Bahamas got to see a hammerhead shark...and then a dog dove into the water to confront the creature.
In a video of the incident, tourists can be heard shouting at the pup to turn around. The dog ignores their cries and goes after the hammerhead, and the two animals circle one another. Ultimately, the shark swims away.
Rebecca Lightbourn said the dog frequently greets the boat, but this is the first time he jumped into the water.
"I guess this time the dog decided he wanted to protect his house or play with a really big fish in the water, so he went after it," Lightbourn said.
