A cat named Precious Cargo, originating from China, was found by a Canada Border Services Agency officer in a damaged box marked as traveling all the way from China. The cat is now in the care of the British Columbia SPCA after being examined by animal docs. The cat appeared healthy but scared, and spent a week at an emergency vet clinic to stabilize, as no one knows how long she spent in transit. Precious has been transferred to a foster home where she is settling in well, and her foster mom plans on officially adopting her once she is fully recovered.
