WEDGED DEER RECUED FROM BARS OF METAL FENCE IN COLORADO: Firefighters in Colorado used heavy equipment to rescue a deer that was trapped between the bars of a metal fence. They used a hydraulic rescue tool, known as the Jaws of Life, to pry the bars of the fence apart.
On their Facebook page they wrote:
Around 5:30 a.m. on Monday, SMFR and Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a deer trapped in a fence near Park Meadows Dr. and Station Way. Firefighters used the jaws of life to quickly free the deer, which sustained non-life-threatening abrasions from struggling.
The deer was not seriously injured, but sustained minor abrasions from struggling to free itself.
