Debuting in theaters overseas weeks ago, "Wham!" is a documentary about the making of a super star. It takes you behind the two childhood friends who then became partners in a highly successful music duo with hits like "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" and "Careless Whisper" (which was released in England as a George Michael solo effort) which then led to the incredible but short-lived success of George Michael as a superstar who dealt with the issues of drugs, sex, and loneliness until his death at age 53.
For those without access to Netflix, or who want to see even more, here are some interviews given by George's former partner Andrew Ridgeley, on the heels of his autobiography, which may flesh out a few more details from the music makers that are still heard on the radio today. Two of the interviews were given on the heels of the book's release, and a third interview just a few months ago, broadcast in Britain upon the release of the documentary which may interest music fans and lovers of the two artists' music.
The first is from 60 Minutes/Australia, the second from "This Morning" in the UK, and the third is a lively chat with England's Graham Norton as the documentary began screening there.
