There are thousands of dollars in grants being made available locally from McDonald's and now is the time for applications to be submitted for eligible parties, non-profits, and organizations serving children in the K-12 age groups through September 15. Winning applicants can be granted up to $10,000 to support their program.
Enhancing the imagination and growth of area children is this program's goal, and it is in its third year of making dreams come true. The Golden Grants program has been awarded $200,000 within its first two years and looks forward to awarding $100,000 this year.
Qualifying activities include:
· Arts and crafts programs
· Education initiatives
· Mentorship and empowerment programs
· After-school programs
· Community service
· Sports activities
· Technology
McDonald's Owner/Operators across southeast Georgia, southeast South Carolina, and Florida, which are valid areas for the grant awards, will select this year's winners in October.
