Woman's dog missing since mid-August found safe at Atlanta airport

Airtags! Airtags, Airtags, Airtags. When you travel, put an Apple Airtag in your luggage — even if it’s carry-on. Put one in your backpack or purse. Put one in your kids’ backpacks and luggage. Put one on a bracelet on your kid’s wrist. And if you’re traveling with a pet, put an Airtag around their neck in an Airtag case that fits snugly on a pet collar. Here’s why…

… Paula Rodriguez, the owner of a missing chihuahua mix named Maia, can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Her dog was located at Atlanta’s airport Saturday. Delta Air Lines and PETA worked together to reunite Rodriguez with her beloved pet. Maia went missing after escaping from her kennel during a layover in Atlanta more than three weeks ago. Rodriguez was informed that her tourist visa did not meet the requirements to enter the US, and she had to fly back to the Dominican Republic without her dog. It took Delta three weeks to locate Maia hiding near a cargo facility. Maia was tired but in good health and will soon be returned to Rodriguez after a visit to the vet.

Here's the latest and the original story of the dog's disappearance:
