Kelly Clarkson was on her way to the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday. Before hitting the stage to perform, Clarkson took to social media to reveal that she had already warmed up her voice by singing some Tina Turner with a performer on the streets of Las Vegas.
"I was on my way to soundcheck for @iHeartRadio tonight in Vegas and was tipping this incredible woman killing some Tina Turner and then she asked me to sing and had no clue who I was, and then it hit her, and it made my day! She gives the best hugs and sings her tail off!"
As you may know, since her divorce she's been altering the lyrics to some of her songs to throw shade on her ex. She made a lyric swap at the end of “Since U Been Gone,” singing: “I’m so happy now that you’re gone.” It's not the first time, however, that the Texas-born megastar has made changes to the lyrics of her songs on stage. Last month Clarkson put a new spin on “Piece By Piece” during her Las Vegas residency, making a few lyric changes to the 2015 ballad.
