A flight from Ecuador to Florida experienced turbulence so bad that eight passengers ended up in the hospital. The JetBlue flight hit rough air around Jamaica during Monday's trip. It was so jarring that the plane rose 600 feet and fell 400 feet in just one minute.
Fortunately, the plane landed safely.
"JetBlue will work to support our customers and crewmembers," a JetBlue statement reads. "The aircraft for this flight has been taken out of service for inspection."
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident.
Here's how this was covered by two TV stations.
