Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks posted a warning to his fans on Instagram on Saturday: Someone used a deepfake image of him in a dental plan advertisement.
"There’s a video out there promoting some dental plan with an AI version of me. I have nothing to do with it," Hanks wrote. A photo of his AI counterpart lingers in the background of the warning.
