A senior member of the Pentagon staff has been charged with taking part in a dogfighting ring for 20 years. Frederick Douglass Moorefield Jr. and another suspect's homes were raided last month by the FBI and the Department of Agriculture.
The search uncovered pit bull-type dogs, a bloodstained carpet, electrical devices, steroids, weighted collars, and an apparatus used to inseminate female dogs.
Moorefield is now being charged with involvement in the dogfighting ring known as DMV Board. Members allegedly use the Telegram app to arrange fights and bets.
Moorefield also faces charges related to giving dogs drugs to improve their odds of winning
