A former NASA engineer has created the world's smallest Nerf gun!

Former NASA Engineer and YouTuber Mark Rober, known for his creative and entertaining projects, decided to create the world’s smallest Nerf gun. To achieve this, he collaborated with scientists from California’s Salk Institute and Brigham Young University (BYU), his alma mater. Rober had previously set the world record for the world’s largest Nerf gun.

… Rober approached one of his former professors at BYU with the idea of using nanotechnology to create the tiny Nerf gun. Although the team had experience working on projects like deploying solar panels in space with NASA and creating medical implants, they had never built something to launch a projectile, especially at the microscopic scale.

… The result of their collaboration was a nano-sized Nerf blaster, roughly the size of a fleck of pepper.
