Florida pastor Robert Dell has been accused of running a retail crime ring and selling $3 million dollars worth of stolen merch online.
Dell allegedly used his position as a pastor and director of a halfway house to recruit people to steal for him. Co-conspirators reportedly stole from Home Depot locations up to six times daily. Investigators claim that Dell would then sell these stolen items on eBay using the account "Anointed Liquidator."
Dell's wife and mother have also been charged as co-conspirators.
Scott Glenn of Home Depot said the number of thefts in Tampa actually dropped when Dell and his associates were charged...but he's not hopeful that the retail crimes will stop.
"Somebody else will rise up and probably start doing this in the absence of this group that was busted," Glenn said.
