That's a giant jack-o-lantern! Minnesota horticulture teacher Travis Gienger won the 50th annual World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off with an impressive gourd.
The teacher won the Moon Bay, California contest with a pumpkin weighing 2,749 pounds! His gigantic jack-o-lantern could make 687 pies.
Gienger has been growing pumpkins for about 30 years. This year, he watered his pumpkins up to 12 times a day and fertilized them more than he usually does. His effort paid off!
"I put in the work so that I can put a smile on people’s faces and it’s just so nice coming out here to see everyone in this town," Gienger said.
