Tyler Perry is stepping in to help a 93-year-old woman from Hilton Head Island who is at risk of losing her home due to a land dispute with developers. Perry is reportedly building Josephine Wright a new 5-bedroom home to replace the one she currently lives in with her grandchildren. Construction is set to begin once all the necessary permits have been obtained. In July, Perry pledged his support to Wright after learning about her legal battle with the Bailey Point Investment Group, who wants to buy her land. Wright refused to sell the land, which has been in her family for generations, and BP filed a lawsuit to gain control of it. Wright alleges that she has been harassed by BP since declining their offer to buy her home.
… One of Wright’s grandkids started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover her legal fees, and an update on the page revealed that her current home sustained damage due to a fallen tree. Now, Tyler Perry is providing a new home for Wright.
