DoorDash has introduced a pop-up message in its app that warns customers that orders with no tip might result in longer delivery times. The prompt asks customers if they are sure they want to continue with an order that has no tip, as it may take longer to be delivered. This move by DoorDash appears to be an attempt to show customers that drivers prioritize more profitable work. Dashers, as independent contractors, have the freedom to accept or reject orders based on their preferences.
