A social media marketing expert believes Stanley — maker of the popular drink tumbler every person in your life is carrying — has probably picked up at least $1 million in free mentions on TikTok thanks to a mug that survived a car fire.
… If you missed the story, a woman named Danielle, known as @danimarielettering on TikTok, posted a viral video showing her car destroyed by fire, with the only surviving item being her Stanley insulated tumbler. In the video, she demonstrated that the tumbler still had ice in it despite the fire. The president of Stanley, Terence Reilly, responded to the video, stating that the company would not only send her more tumblers but also replace her car.
… Based on the number of views of Danielle’s original video, and the views of Stanley’s president, it’s estimated that the company has picked up at least a million bucks in free publicity. Check this out..
