Employees at Med Center Health Environmental Services in Bowling Green, Kentucky won big when their boss purchased scratch-off tickets as a holiday present. Their work Christmas party turned out to be a lucky day for the workers as they won $50,000.
… Shift Manager Sheila Colter had initially bought scratch-off tickets for the employees to share, and one of those tickets won $50. They used that money to purchase another scratch-off ticket, which won them $100. With those winnings, they bought two more tickets, and one ticket turned out to be worth $50,000.
… The winning ticket was revealed in front of 14 employees. After taxes, the 21 employees will split the prize, receiving $1,750 each.
