Pediatric emergency medicine physician Dr. Meghan Martin from Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital issued warnings about potentially dangerous holiday gifts for children.
According to Parade, in a video on social media, she highlighted the top five items to avoid. The list includes items with button batteries due to the risk of ingestion, water beads that can cause bowel obstructions, electric scooters leading to injuries, hoverboards causing various injuries and fire hazards, and trampolines, which Dr. Martin strongly discourages as they contribute to frequent emergency room visits and orthopedic injuries.
The physician urged viewers to prioritize safety in gift choices during the holiday season
