A Las Vegas high school teacher went viral on TikTok after sharing her students' wishlists, which included a bag of chips, a grocery store gift card and a pair of slippers.
Cheri Guy had a list of requests from her students for Chrstmas. She says most of the students don't have much to begin with but needed help to fill the wishes for her students. She has a large following on TikTok and was amazed at the response she got not only from the Vegas area, but from around the world.
Cheri Guy, an English teacher at Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, posted a video to TikTok about her school’s annual “Wishmas” campaign. Students have the opportunity to write down one Christmas wish and the reason why it’s important to them. Then, the teachers and a few local community members try to work through the list to get as many items as possible.
As the video at @attagirlguy opens, Guy clearly sounds choked up at the long list of simple wishes made by the teenagers.
She joins "NewsNation Prime" to discuss her "Wishmas" program, saying many of the requests she got were for gifts for other people.
