Watch: The Coast Guard's dramatic rescue of Golden Retriever Leo

The U.S Coast Guard pulled off a dramatic ocean-side rescue in Oregon after a golden retriever named Leo slid down a seaside cliff and into the water at Ecola State Beach. First responders from three local fire departments were already on the scene when the Coast Guard arrived via helicopter. A rescue swimmer and a hoisting basket were lowered from the helicopter to the water’s edge to retrieve Leo. He was reunited with his owners in the parking lot above, and is said to be recovering nicely after an overnight stay at a veterinary clinic.
