A 75-year-old wildlife photographer in Wales, Rodney Holbrook, set up a camera in his tool shed to investigate mysterious movements of objects. He discovered a diligent mouse, which he named "Welsh Tidy Mouse," was nightly tidying up his shed by collecting scattered items, including nails and small tools, and placing them in a tray on the shelf.
Holbrook, amused by the rodent's behavior, now leaves items out intentionally, letting the mouse and its occasional companions organize them. Gareth Davies, from Pest and Property Solutions, explained that mice are natural hoarders.
Welsh Tidy Mouse has been on the job for about two months now. Holbrook suspects the mouse uses the objects he puts into the box to hide his food.
This echoes a similar viral incident in 2019 when a mouse in Bristol, England, was filmed tidying a shed. Holbrook, who was familiar with the earlier video, expressed surprise at experiencing a similar occurrence in Builth Wells.
Here is some of that video!
