Hopeful travelers who signed up for a three-year cruise had their plans and money disappear...and some of them are trying to get their money back. Miray's "Life at Sea" cruise was supposed to depart in November of 2023, and would-be passengers paid deposits amounting to about $16 million dollars.
Unfortunately, the cruise was canceled. The company actually said they had no such ship to offer.
Some of Miray's would-be customers broke leases or sold their homes in anticipation of a life at sea. So far, 78 people have sent a letter to US Attorney Markenzy Lapointe in hopes of an official investigation into Miray.
