Some people will do anything for a close-up photo of wild animals, even if it puts their child’s safety at risk.
The Tourons of National Parks (@touronsofnationalparks) Instagram account recently shared a clip via Gerrad Waninger (@gjwaninger) of a father encouraging his son to pose with a mountain goat for a photo, much to the dismay of bystanders.
As the child gets dangerously close to the mountain goat, a man — presumably Gerrad — can be heard saying, “Get your kid outta there; what are you doing?!”
According to The Cool Down, onlookers express concern, with one person heard saying, "Get your kid outta there; what are you doing?!" Such encounters can pose risks to both humans and wildlife, and reckless behavior around animals in national parks can lead to serious consequences, including injury or death.
Commenters on the Instagram post criticized the father's actions, emphasizing the importance of respecting wildlife and practicing safe behavior in natural environments.
