Ali Zacharias is still looking for her kidnapped dog after being thrown off a car while attempting to rescue him. Zacharias's French bulldog, named Onyx, was reportedly taken while Zacharias was eating lunch in downtown Los Angeles.
"I thought it was a misunderstanding, so I said, 'That's my dog. Excuse me," Zacharias said. The situation escalated as the strange woman who took her dog climbed into a car. Zacharias jumped onto the hood of the vehicle, and video footage of the event shows her clinging to the windshield wipers.
Ali Zacharias, was enjoying lunch with her dog, Onyx, at a Whole Foods located on Grand Avenue and 8th Street at around 2:30 p.m. Onyx was sitting underneath Zacharias’ chair. Suddenly, an unknown woman grabs the dog's leash and walks outside to a getaway car. Video of the incident shows the victim clinging tightly onto the suspects' car hood as they drove off with her dog at a high rate of speed. "It was horrifying,” Zacharias recalled. “As he started to go faster and faster I'm like, 'I'm about to die. This is my death. Right now. I'm about to die.’”
Unfortunately, Zacharias was thrown off the vehicle, and the dog is still missing. Onyx is a black merle French bulldog with a spotted coat, a blue left eye, and a green right eye. The getaway car was a Kia Forte missing a hubcap. Anyone with information should call 877-275-5273.
