Howard Stern just interviewed Billy Joel where they talked about a variety of very interesting subjects.
There are conversations about the subject of "Uptown Girl," about which song he considers his best, about his experience recording "We Are The World," but when he asked Billy about the meaning behind his new song "Turn The Lights Back On" it led to a disclosure that I think will excite other Billy Joel fans.
Billy initially was hesitant to tell him what specifically the song was about, but Stern, who proves what a good interviewer he is, gets Billy to admit it may not be about his relationship with another woman but rather his relationship with his music, and turning the lights back on referring to his feeling vulnerable releasing a new song after decades of refusing to write or record anything new. Listen carefully to what Howard gets Billy to reveal. (Note: Stern does use some adult language.)
