A large 2-pound object that crashed through a man's Florida roof is being analyzed by NASA to determine if it came from the International Space Station.
Alejandro Otero said the object came through the roof of his home on March 8 at 2:34 p.m. and the sound was caught and recorded by his Ring security camera.
According to UPI, "U.S. Space Command recorded the reentry of a piece of debris from the International Space Station around the same time over the Gulf of Mexico with a trajectory taking it toward southwest Florida."
Otero's son was home at the time, but was not injured.
Otero, a homeowner in Naples, Florida – about 40 miles south of Fort Myers – shared several photos of damage to his home, as well as a photo of the alleged space debris.
Here's how one local TV station covered this unusual story.
