It seems that passenger airplanes are falling apart weekly now, doesn’t it? This time a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 had to make an emergency landing after an engine cowling detached during take-off at Denver International Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the unsettling event, stating that Flight 3695 safely returned to the airport after the engine cowling blew off and hit the wing flap during takeoff. Passenger footage captured the chilling moment as the cowling peeled off the engine mid-takeoff, flapping in the wind before completely detaching.
