Laundry Expert Reveals How To Remove Wrinkles From Clothes Without An Iron

Some people think ironing is a tedious and unnecessary task, and for those, a laundry expert has shared a hack via TikTok on to get wrinkles out of clothes without using an iron. TikTok account @mommylifesquad shared that putting a few ice cubes in with your clothes when you put a load of laundry into the tumble dryer, adding the cubes at the end of the cycle, will do the trick. “Stop ironing your clothing. When you throw your clothes in the wash, at the last 10 minutes of the cycle, throw in some ice cubes. Now, when you take your clothes out of the dryer, they will be wrinkle-free – no more ironing needed,” the TikToker instructed.

The expert also added that baking soda will “brighten whites and soften towels” and distilled vinegar can be used to “banish dinginess and remove odors and marks

They finished the clip by showing off a freshly washed shirt that had no creases.

The TikTokers clarified in a comment that the ice cubes should be added 10 minutes towards the end of the tumble dryer cycle as opposed to the washing machine.

The UK-based electrical retailer AO also included the ice cube trick in their TikTok video about 'laundry tips that actually work'.

They instructed: 'Throw a couple of cubes in your dryer for 10 minutes to steam your clothes.'

On top of this, the experts advised using baking soda to 'brighten whites and soften towels' and using distilled white vinegar to 'banish dinginess and remove odours and marks'.

Countless people online have tested out the unusual ice cube method, with some achieving impressive results.

The ice melts in the heat of the dryer and is turned into water and then steam, therefore doing the same job your iron otherwise would - your dryer is essentially steaming the clothes so that they're wrinkle-free.
