Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, also known as The Golden Bachelor couple, have announced their decision to divorce just three months after their televised wedding. In an appearance on Good Morning America, Turner shared that they had mutually agreed to dissolve their marriage, citing a careful evaluation of their living situation. “We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched The Golden Bachelor, and I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope,” Nist said. “We want none of that to change for anybody.” The Golden Bachelor featured Turner, a 72-year-old widower, searching for love, with the wedding ceremony officiated by host Jesse Palmer.
