While Americans honored Memorial Day on Monday, English citizens participated in a strange annual tradition: Cheese rolling. The competition involves running after seven-pound wheels of Gloucester cheese down the steep Cooper’s Hill. Many participants fell and tumbled in their attempts to chase the cheese. The first person to finish behind the delicious dairy gets to keep it. The event drew thousands of spectators. Tom Kopke from Germany won one of the men’s races. “You start and then the adrenaline takes over and you just go, go go,” Kopke said
